Social Networking Builds Trust
If you actively seek and value thought leadership, we try to provide that right here. Nothing hashed up from other places--just the best for you and your customers. Last week we saw a fascinating presentation by Chris Carfi, Chairman and CEO of Cerado, who provides leadership by example with his many customer-attracting, customer-pleasing communications and services. He writes three blogs and the most famous is Social Customer Manifesto. Chris delighted an audience of 100 certification industry leaders in Washington, DC last week with his Social Networking for Businesses and Associations. Certification businesses are those folks that define professions and industries with standards, tests, and bodies of knowledge. They are the essence of social networks and the most important thing to their customers is trust and credibility. When you become certified, you want that certification to mean a lot in the marketplace and the world. We tell you all of this so you know this is not a gushing kind of audience. They make the rules we all live by and they are tough on themselves, as well. So when they said Carfi's presentation was THE BEST presentation they'd heard all year. we had to rush that news to you, oh seekers of thought leadership. A few days later, wham! Customer Thought Leaders Don Peppers and Martha Rogers, Ph.D., show up in the December 1to1 magazine with their Face to Face feature on social media. They cite social networking as one of the three categories of social media and write "We predict that encouraging and harvesting customer intelligence will be the most valuable application of social networking within the next year for smart companies." There you have it--your whole game plan for 2007. You are a smart company, aren't you? Then this blog's for you.
